Ideas you can do to get traffic to your site

The following is a list of ways you can use to get visitors to your site or blog. I will get into detail about each of the traffic generation methods in future posts.

1. Write interesting and or useful content that people will want to read. Also keep updating your site with new content so they will want to come back to read more.

4. Optimize your site to get free search engine traffic (SEO)
5. Participate in popular forums and include a link in your signature
6. Write articles and submit them to article directories
7. Start a blog and mention your site in posts
8. Build a squidoo lens
9. Build a hubpage (very simaler to squidoo lens)
10. Advertise in newspapers
11. Post flyers in popular places in your city
12. Set up an email signature with a link
13. Submit your blog posts or site to social bookmark networks such as digg and del.icio.us
14. Put your domain name on your clothing
15. Write a pdf report with a link and give it away and allow other people to also give it away
16. Buy up domain names with traffic and redirect the visitors
